Location:
Val Verde County is located in Southwestern Texas. Its Souththern boundary is the Rio Grande with both the Devils and Lower Pecos Rivers running through it. The Ranch is located 45 miles North of Del Rio, Texas off highway 277: 28 miles west on Dolan Creek road (all weather county maintained). The ranch begins approximately 3 miles north of Dolan Creek road through the Devils River State Natural Area.
Vegetation:
There is an abundance of vegetation which includes mesquite, cedar, pin oak, live oak, Mexican persimmon, and Agarita bushes. There is also a variety of grasses and cactus. The ranch is currently in great shape and has not been stocked with livestock for many years.
Game:
This ranch is home to many game species, including but not limited to whitetail deer, turkey, blue and bobwhite quail, dove, javelina, and wildcat. There is a wildlife program in place.
